  • Link Active Scheduler (LAS) Functionality: Capable of functioning as link active schedulers for low-speed voltage mode (H1) FOUNDATION Fieldbus segments, facilitating communication with FOUNDATION Fieldbus-enabled field devices.

Configuration:

The FCN-100 configuration includes:

  • Base module
  • Power supply module
  • CPU module
  • SB bus repeat module (for extending the SB bus to connect extension units)
  • I/O modules

There are two types of base modules:

  • NFBU200 base module (long): Supports up to 2 extension units for I/O expansion.
  • NFBU050 base module (short): Compact and dedicated to one-unit configuration.

Maximum I/O Module Configurations:

  • NFBU200 base module:
    • Control unit only: Max. 8 modules (standard), Max. 6 modules (duplexed)
    • With 1 extension unit: Max. 16 modules (standard), Max. 12 modules (duplexed)
    • With 2 extension units: Max. 25 modules (standard), Max. 20 modules (duplexed)
  • NFBU050 base module:
    • Control unit: Max. 3 modules (standard)

Installation Requirements:

  • Ambient temperature: 0°C to 55°C for operation, -40°C to 85°C for transportation or storage.
  • Ambient humidity: 5 to 95% RH (no condensation).
  • Protection class: IP20.
  • Cooling: Natural air cooling.

Model and Suffix Codes:

  • Model: NFSB100 (SB bus repeat module for FCN)
  • Suffix:
    • S: Standard model
    • 5: No explosion protection
    • E: With explosion protection
    • 0: Basic type
    • 1: With ISA Standard G3 option

Option Codes:

  • /SBT01: With an SB bus T-joint
  • /SBT02: With an SB bus T-joint with built-in terminator.
