Product Description

The IC697MDL671 is a 14-Point Interrupt Input module, 24 Volt DC, manufactured by GE Fanuc for the 90-70 Series. The IC697MDL671 provides a total of 16 points organized into four isolated groups of four points each. The first 14 points (A1 through D2) are referred to as interrupt inputs, and the last two points (D3- D4) are configuration inputs. All 14 interrupt points can run at the maximum I/O interrupt rate.

Other notable features include positive/negative logic compatibility, a compatible proximity switch, and a selectable input filter (-1 mS or 10 mS). The IC697MDL671 showcases both positive and negative logic characteristics and is therefore capable of sourcing current from input devices to the common users. This module is compatible with a wide range of input devices such as limit switches, electronic proximity switches, selector switches, and pushbuttons.

Inputs on the IC697MDL671 module may be directly driven by a compatible voltage output module. The input circuit offers enough current to ensure dependable operation of the switching device. In the ON state, input current is typically 10mA and can accept up to 2mA leakage current in the OFF state without turning on. ON-OFF status of each point is indicated by LED lighting located at the top of the module.

Older versions of this module came with a mechanical key that prevented accidental replacement of a module with the wrong type. A new module without this keying feature can be installed in a previously-keyed slot without removing the earlier key. The key may, however, be easily removed by simply pushing it upward while pulling it off the rail.
